Habitat typing site CC-O-10 contained a high gradient riffle. Cascade Creek had good quality steelhead trout habitat, similar to that found in San Anselmo Creek within Cascade Canyon Open Space Preserve (Rich, 2000). This area was photographed and habitat typed on November 3, 1999 by A.A. Rich and Associates.

Habitat typing site CC-O-12 was the site of cascade pools, with an average depth of 0.24 meters and associated with bedrock. This is a picture of the gravel at the site. Cascade Creek did not contain much spawning gravel, however there was spawning gravel for approximately a mile downstream of this area (Rich, 2000). This area was photographed and habitat typed on November 3, 1999 by A.A. Rich and Associates.
