Habitat typing site CM-01 was located at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers concrete flood control channel in Kentfield. This area is under tidal influence and serves as a migration corridor for steelhead trout. However, due to the absence of structure and protective cover, as well as a poorly functioning fish ladder upstream, emigrating steelhead may be prone to predation by birds (Rich, 2000). Photo taken by A.A. Rich and Associates in 1999.
