Description	Habitat typing was conducted from October 27 to November 4, 1994 in detail on Old Mill Creek and its tributary Cascade Creek and less comprehensively on mainstem Arroyo Corte Madera del Presidio, Reed Creek, and Warner Creek. The method used for this study was derived from Bisson et al., 1982 and modified for California coastal streams by Dr. Alice Rich Electrofishing was conducted at 29 sites in mainstem Arroyo Corte Madera del Presidio, Old Mill Creek, and Cascade Creek from October 26 to November 4, 1994. Methods for electrofishing included the use of block nets, a Smith-Root Type 12 backpack, and three or more passes at each station. Collected fish were identified to species and their fork length and weight were measured. Due to rain, this study was not able to sample the uppermost sites in Blithedale Canyon. Purpose	To provide an initial overview of existing fish habitat and population conditions during the low flow season.
Data Quality Information	Dr. Rich notes that Old Mill Creek and Arroyo Corte Madera del Presidio (downstream, as well as upstream in the lower reach, of town center) had a fairly good representation of types and numbers of fish species in representative habitats.
Use Constraints	Due to the limited scope of this study, the site samples chosen for electrofishing were not statistically based, although at least one of each habitat type in each creek was sampled.
