Area Stemple Creek
Topic Temperature: Stemple Creek/Estero de San Antonio 1992-1993

Caption:  Water temperature was measured at twelve locations, with varying frequencies, in the Stemple Creek watershed by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (NCRWQCB) from 1990-1994. The graph shows data collected at five locations (going downstream from left to right) from 1992-1993. The maximum concentration found among all stations and monitoring events was 24.2 °C, and the minimum concentration was 6.8 °C. Note there are no summer sampling events in the graph and that no sampling occurred from July-November, and therefore these numbers may not represent the full range of conditions. The reference values represent the maximum NCRWQCB Stemple Creek TMDL thresholds to be met by 2004 from May-November (20°C) and December-April (13.8°C) at a specific freshwater and saline location (Salisbury, 1997). See Picture for sampling locations and Info Links for more information.
