KRIS Battle Creek MAP Metadata by Dr. Paul Trichilo COVERAGE NAME: Trainsient Snow Zone for Battle Creek Watershed TYPE COVERAGE: Image ORIGIN: Kier Associates METADATA FILE DATE: 1/5/99 This image coverage shows the area of "Rain on Snow" risk as defined by Terraqua Inc. for the Battle Creek Watershed Assessment, which is 3,500 to 5,000 feet in elevation. This is similar to the USFS Deer, Mill and Antelope WA for adjacent watersheds. The elevation map is based on 30 M DEMs and the 3500-5000' band was selected for this theme. The map was constructed as a grid with the Arcview spatial analyst program from 30m DEMs provided by the Geographical Information Center, California State University, Chico, CA 95929-0425. The grid was used for analysis by Terraqua and exported as an image for use in the KRIS Battle Creek V 2.0. Contact Name: P. J.
