Activist counting growth rings on stump of 54 ft. circumference old-growth redwood cut by Georgia Pacific. Each pushpin along the measuring tape marks 100 years of growth. The tree was approximately 1540 years old. Growth rings were so closely spaced that a magnifying glass was needed to count them.
