Caption:  Water temperatures in Daugherty Creek in 1997 peaked at 21.9 degrees Celsius in August. The optimal water temperature for salmonid growth (10-15 degrees C) was exceeded for all of summer. The maximum diurnal temperature shift was approximately 5 degrees Celsius and the seasonal fluctuation was about 10 degrees C. Fluctuations of 15 C were recorded during the period of record.
