This photo shows a Friends of the Garcia River volunteer planting trees on Blue Waterhole Creek. The volunteers appear to be at the toe of a large landslide with stumps on it, which suggests Post WWII logging at this site and subsequent slope failure. Failed roads on both sides of Blue Waterhole Creek at this location have contributed massive quantities of sediment. Fill for the road (or landing) at right has buried a tree which is visible in the center of the failing fill. Streamside trees planted by FROG.
