KRIS Garcia River: Chart Page

Area Basin-wide/General
Topic Sediment: 1999 Permeability - Salmonid Survival Index, McBain&Trush

Caption:  This chart shows permeability-based percent salmonid egg survival estimates for pool-tail substrates in ten Garcia River tributaries. Estimates are generated from the relationship developed by Tagart (1976) and McCuddin (1977) and permeability data collected by McBain and Trush (2000). Values are associated with mean permeabilities and 95% confidence interval limits as displayed. Percent salmonid egg survival estimates are generally low, not exceeding 50% in any tributary. McBain and Trush state that salmonid egg survival estimates should be considered preliminary until the relationship is better defined by more field data collection and analysis. See InfoLinks for more information.
