KRIS Garcia River: Chart Page

Area Basin-wide/General
Topic Sediment: 2000 Permeability - Salmonid Survival Index, MRC

Caption:  This chart shows permeability-based percent salmonid egg survival estimates for pool-tail substrates in Mendocino Redwood Company's long-term channel monitoring stream segments, located within the Garcia River Watershed in 2000. The whiskers around salmonid survival index values are based on the standard error of samples. Percent salmonid egg survival estimates are generally low, only exceeding 50% in the South Fork Garcia at the confluence with the Mainstem Garcia River. Estimates were generated by MRC from the relationship developed by Tagart (1976) and McCuddin (1977). Data were collected by the Mendocino Redwood Company as part of their long-term channel monitoring program. See InfoLinks for more information.
