Point Arena Hot Springs was a major summer destination on the Middle Garcia basin around 1900 and this picture shows the main hotel building around the turn of the century. This view of the Point Arena Hot Springs on the mainstem Garcia River was a post card. It shows the bath houses, a cabin, and the stairs down to the baths. This is a post card of the Garcia River, likely taken in the vicinity of the Pt Arena Hot Springs. Note that the channel is steep and rocky but that riparian vegetation not only includes shrubs and deciduous trees, but also large conifers. Postal date Sept. 19, 1910.
