This classic photo shows the Rollerville Flume coming up the grade in the lower Garcia River and its crew. The tramways adjacent were for transit of planks to lumber schooners off Pt Arena. The roadway that swings near the flume in the distance was the old coast road. This location is very near where Highway 1 crosses Hathaway Creek today.
