KRIS Garcia River: Chart Page

Area Lower Garcia / Estuary
Topic Temperature: Min, Max, Avg of Allen Creek - lower, 1999

Caption:  This Chart shows the daily minimum, maximum, and average water temperature in Celsius (°C) of Allen Creek (site GRMP7D) for the year 1999. Daily maximum water temperatures were mostly above the optimum range for juvenile salmonids from mid-July through mid-September, but this site would likely still be suitable for coho because temperatures on average fell mostly within the optimal range. The reference value of 10-15.6°C optimum temperature range for juvenile salmonid rearing is based on McCullough (1999). See InfoLinks for more information. Data were contributed by the California Department of Forestry's Garcia River Instream Monitoring Project. Click on Map to see locations of temperature monitoring stations.
