The North Fork enters the Garcia River at left, with the Buckridge Bar gravel operation downstream on the left in this photo taken in the year 2000. Mining has been minimal or inactive for several years, which has allowed the Garcia River channel to regain definition as willow and alder recruit on the undisturbed bar. Photo provided by Peter Dobbins and Friends of the Garcia River.
