| Purpose | The original purpose of the adult salmonid spawner counts was to get some measure of success of restoration projects. Counts in 1995-96 and 1996-97 were conducted as part of the National Emergency Assistance Program (NEAP) for displaced salmon fishermen, while the more extensive counts in 1998-1999 were part of a comprehensive watershed study by the Mendocino County Resources Conservation District. |
| Data Quality Information | Some very dry years such as 1990-1991 may have lacked sufficient flow to allow fish to reach survey areas. Alternately, high flows and turbidity may have hampered surveys in other years. |
