This page contains detailed information about a data set in KRIS, including where the original data reside and how to contact the sources for the data. Data sets are linked to the appropriate page by means of the Meta Identifier. Many data sets can be linked to same page by sharing the same Meta Identifier.

Request LogAsked Cynthia LeDoux Bloom for preliminary habitat typing data on September 1, 2001. Habitat data provided on CD from Fortuna CDFG, including spatial data in Arc View. Made Topics. Only partial results of fish surveys shared with IFR, when Cynthia worked in IFR Arcata KRIS Project office and worked on fish Topics.
Follow Up Date Request9/15/01
Receipt LogIn November 2001, Cynthia states that habitat data she provided for KRIS is being revised and that old data is in error. Delay in processing made habitat summary figures from KRIS Gualala unavailable for 12/16/01 Gualala watershed assessment draft (NCWAP). IFR requests new data but not received until mid-January 2001. Requested complete biological results of electrofishing related to 2001 habitat typing.
Follow Up Date Receipt1/22/02
Progress LogCDFG produced another version of summary results released in May 2001 but changed categories of analysis which had been standard CDFG protocols, such as pool depths. Consequently, IFR uses January 2001 CDFG version of habitat data. Some data for biological results never shared.

Serial NameStream Inventory Rep
PurposeTo document current habitat conditions, and recommend options for the potential enhancement of habitat for salmon and steelhead trout. Habitat typing Data are also useful for gauging stream health.
Data Quality InformationAlthough trained in standard protocol, crews have very limited experience, and many data categories are based on visual estimates.
Use ConstraintsNeither density nor absence of any species can be determined from small, single-pass electrofishing samples.
Supplemental InformationPrevious surveys in Fuller, McKenzie and NF Tribs (see Entrix).
