KRIS Garcia River: Chart Page

Area Middle Garcia
Topic Temperature: Min, Max, Avg at BeeBee Creek, 1997

Caption:  This Chart shows the daily minimum, maximum and average water temperature in Celsius (°C) at lower BeeBee Creek (site 5203, near its confluence with Garcia River) for the year 1997. Daily maximum and average water temperatures were mostly above the optimum range for juvenile salmonids during summer 2001, but usually dropped into optimal range for at least some period at night. These temperatures would be very suitable for juvenile steelhead rearing. The reference value of 10-15.6°C optimum temperature range for juvenile salmonid rearing is based on McCullough (1999). See InfoLinks for more information. Data were contributed by the Institute for Forest and Watershed Management.
