This photo was taken looking upstream at the mouth of the North Fork Garcia River. Note the high terrace of relatively small material, indicating recent deposition likely related to storms in January and March 1995. Photo courtesy of Craig Bell. March 1995.

This photo shows the mouth of the North Fork Garcia River at the same location as Picture #1 but in February 2002. Notice that the delta at the mouth has diminished, indicating a likely reduction in sediment supply. Photo by Pat Higgins.
