Caption:  This chart shows mean pool-tail gravel permeabilities in the Little South Fork Garcia. Whiskers show one standard error about the mean. Pool-tail permeabilities range from very high to very low. The average permeability for the stream study segment was approximately 5000 cm/hr (pink line), but values ranged as low as 155 cm/hr. Data were collected by the Mendocino Redwood Company in 2000 as part of their long-term channel monitoring program. See InfoLinks for more information.
