KRIS Garcia River: Chart Page

Area South Fork Garcia
Topic Temperature: FWA of South Fork Garcia - lower sites, 1994-2001
Caption:  The above chart plots floating weekly average temperature at lower South Fork sites for the years 1994-1997 and 1999-2001. Floating weekly average temperatures did not exceed 16.8 Celsius during the years of record. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8C. The South Fork has appropriate water temperatures to support coho salmon.
