Caption:  This chart shows permeability measurements of pool-tail gravels in Whitlow Creek in 1999. Measurements were performed and reported by McBain and Trush (2000). The mean permeability (dashed pink line) is 1883 cm/hr. Low permeabilities (ie. Sites #5 and #6) could lead to compromised salmonid spawning success, although it is also possible that these sights would not be selected by spawning steelhead. Lower and upper confidence intervals limits are 864 cm/hr and 2902 cm/hr, respectively. See InfoLinks for more information.
