Caption:  This chart shows percent fines less than 0.85 mm in pool-tail gravels for various sites in Whitlow Creek in 1999. Measurements were performed and reported by McBain and Trush (2000), who used dry-sieve analysis methods to determine size distribution. The reference value shown is adjusted from the Garcia TMDL <0.85 mm target of 14% using methods of Shirazi and Seim (1979) by the KRIS IFR team. Fines at most sites showed conditions suitable for salmonids, although higher that Horace's Cabin Creek. See InfoLinks for more information.
