| Description | Creel census' were conducted in 1953-55 and again from 1972-1976 for adult coho salmon and steelhead catches in the Gualala River. Adult steelhead were seined and marked in conjunction with the 1974-75 and 1975-76 field data collection. This allowed a population estimate for adult steelhead in the Gualala using mark-recapture ratios. |

| Data Quality Information | High, but sampling effort varied and there are no population estimates for the earlier period. Catch may also be substantially altered or depressed by high flows and turbidity, which decreases effectiveness of surveys. |
