Redwood Community Action Agency Natural Resources Division Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) is a human services agency and Humboldt County's largest nonprofit corporation. Formed in 1982 to help combat poverty, RCAA took on the challenge of creating living wage jobs restoring the environment through its Natural Resources (NR) Division. KRIS Humboldt Bay is a cooperative partnership between RCAA and the Institute for Fisheries Resources. Its objective is to capture all the data acquired in association with recent RCAA Humboldt Bay contracts and projects and to make it available for agencies, scientists and the public. RCAA long term plans include fostering information sharing through the KRIS Humboldt Bay database. |

USDA Forest Service Redwood Sciences Lab http://www.rsl.psw.fs.fed.us The Pacific Southwest Region Experimental Station in Arcata, California, known as the Redwood Sciences Lab, generously shared their scientific literature and data and participated in peer review. USFS Spatial Analysis Lab, Sacramento http://www.fs.fed.us/database/gps/sacto.htm The USFS Spatial Analysis Lab in Sacramento provided forest and vegetation data derived from a 1999 Landsat image as well as change scene detection where 1994 and 1998 Landsat scenes were compared. The USFS works cooperatively with CDF FRAP on these remote sensing projects. |
