KRIS
Map Viewer: The KRIS Version 3.0 includes built-in map viewing capability
that allows those who have loaded KRIS from CD to see spatial data, and
to select, edit and rearrange themes in various map projects. This
program advancement was achieved by merging ESRI's Map Objects Light into
the KRIS database. All maps also have annotations which explain theme
contents.
The map views within KRIS are
based on ArcView 3.2 projects for each planning area, which are available
upon request. Some have grid data, which requires the extension Spatial
Analyst. While map layers can be viewed, and spatial relationships between
themes can be explored, using data in ArcView allows the user to query
quantitative spatial data relationships.

KRIS Klamath-Trinity version to include an alternative way for viewing
the charts, pictures, maps and metadata in the database - in the form
of web pages. This means that KRIS contents are now available on the Internet,
and to people using Macintosh computers. Loading the KRIS program on your
computer from compact disc has many advantages for map viewing and speed
of access for large files, such as large documents or photos. |
