Topic Restoration: Large Wood Removal Estimates

Caption:  California Department of Fish and Game restoration efforts in the Noyo River basin involved fish barrier removal during the late 1950s through the early 1980s. Large wood studies by Louisiana Pacific, as part of its Sustained Yield Plan (SYP), made the estimate of large wood removed from the Noyo and its tributaries shown in the graph above. The least large wood removed was in the North Fork Noyo Basin with just 18,000 board feet but 2,232,480 board feet was estimated to have been removed from Hayworth Creek.
