KRIS Noyo : Chart Page

The chart on this page can not be modified, as it can in the CD version of the KRIS database. Data can be downloaded (see bottom of page).

Area Lower Noyo/Basin-wide
Topic Climate: Peak Daily Rainfall Ft Bragg

Caption:  Graph showing the maximum daily rainfall event of the year in inches by year at Ft. Bragg, California from 1910 to 1998. Daily rainfall totals are not available for the entire period of the gauge record (1898-1999). The highest daily rainfall total of 4.15 inches was recorded in 1953. Rainfall peaks at Ft Bragg do not seem to be as indicative of major peak flows as rainfall maxima at Willits. For example, while peak daily rainfall in 1964 and 1974 at Ft Bragg were not particularly high, flows for those years were some of the highest recorded. Data taken from Matthews (1999): Sediment Source Analysis and Preliminary Sediment Budget for the Noyo River.
