Caption:  The above chart shows the average pool shelter ratings from CDFG habitat survey data for Redwood Creek basin streams in 2001. According to CDFG, shelter ratings of less than 60 reflect poor habitat complexity for salmonids. See Info Links for more information. XXAccording to CDFG benchmarks for percent pool habitat, most tributaries of the northern Mattole provide poor habitat (<25%), and no streams provide good habitat (>50%).
