Topic Sediment: Fines <0.85 mm (CFT 1) MF Ten Mile @ Reynolds Gl 1993-2000

Caption:  The source table "mcneil_source_ten.dbf" shows all the percent fine sediment results from McNeil samples from the Ten Mile River. GT refers to the percent of particles retained in that size sieve, (e.g., GT_31_5MM = percent of sample between 31.5 and 64mm). LT refers to the cumulative percent of particles less than the suffix, (e.g., LT_0_85MM = cumulative percent of fines less than 0.85mm). Data collected and provided by Hawthorne Timber Company. See below for column title explanations: LOCATION = self explanatory SHORT_NAME = self explanatory CODE_NAME = self explanatory YEAR = year of sample (samples were collected between September and November) STATION = there were generally two riffles or "stations" sampled each year SAMPLE = there were generally 4 samples or measurements taken at each station CD_YR_STA= concatenate of CODE_NAME, YEAR and STATION GT_63MM = percent of sample greater than 64mm GT_31_5MM = percent of sample between 31.5 and 64mm GT_16MM = percent of sample between 16 and 31.5mm GT_8MM = percent of sample between 8 and 16mm GT_4MM = percent of sample between 4 and 8mm GT_2MM = percent of sample between 2 and 4mm GT_1MM = percent of sample between 1 and 2mm GT_0_85MM = percent of sample between 0.85 and 1mm LT_0_85MM = cumulative percent of fines less than 0.85mm LT_4MM = cumulative percent of fines less than 4mm LT_64_INTR = cumulative percent of fines less than 6.4mm interpolated from the 4 and 8 mm size classes (Bunte and Abt 2001). LT_8MM = cumulative percent of fines less than 8mm GEO = geometric mean D75 = diameter of the 75th percentile particle D25 = diameter of the 75th percentile particle FRDL = Fredle Index (Index of survival-to-emergence of alevin coho salmon and steelhead. There is a greater degree of survival for Fredle Index values between fi= 1 and fi= 4).
