Expansion of the KRIS Database Coverage of California's North Coast Makes Sense Under Prop 50

These pages explain why the KRIS database is an ideal tool for implementation of Proposition 50 (Chapter 8) for the North Coast Integrated Regional Water Management Plan region. The IRWMP is currently being formulated by counties, water agencies, Tribes and other entities to qualify for Prop 50 funding. The objectives of Prop 50 are to protect communities from drought, protect and improve water quality, to reduce dependence on imported water and to promote integrated water management planning on a regional basis.
