Caption:  The Chart Table slide_type_byperiod.dbf was derived from Matthews and Associates (2001) Table 14. The TYPE is Matthews landslide classification scheme and the year (i.e. Y1936) is the year of the aerial photos used to determine slide type, frequency, and volumes. Estimates are based on the period spanning back to the previous aerial photo year. The initial photos in 1936 are estimated to reflect conditions from 1921-1936 Matthews and Associates (2001).
