KRIS Big River: Chart Page

The chart on this page can not be modified, as it can in the CD version of the KRIS database. Data can be downloaded (see bottom of page).

Area North Fork Big River
Topic Temperature: Floating Weekly Average NF Big River at 3 Locations 1996

Caption:  The floating weekly average temperature of the upper North Fork Big River is displayed above at the Jackson Demonstration Forest State upper boundary and above and below James Creek in 1996. All sites exceeded temperatures that are suitable for coho in 1996. The North Fork shows a cooling trend with James Creek moderating its temperature, a trend that continues downstream on JDSF. The 16.8 degree C stress threshold for coho salmon was chosen based on Welsh et al. (2001) and Hines and Ambrose (1998). Click on Info Links for more information. Click on Picture for a map of locations. Data provided by the Forest Science Project with the permission of Jackson Demonstration State Forest.
