Caption:  The Chart above shows the median particle size distribution of the streambed at several locations in Wheatfield basin in 1997 and 2000. This chart shows a D50 range in light blue which overlaps with the Knopp (1993) 95% confidence interval for median particle size of control streams or those that had at least 40 years rest from logging. All values fall outside this range. Small median particle size can contribute to bed load mobility, which decreases salmonid spawning success.
