The chart above shows the age distribution of fall Chinook spawners in Willow Creek in 1998. Jack salmon or grilse constituted only 8% of the run as did Chinook that had spent two years in the ocean. Four year old Chinook made up more of the returns to Willow Creek than to Horse Linto in 1998, but both had very large contributions of five year olds. Data from Dutra and Thomas (1998).
