This photo shows the Indian Creek upper East Fork watershed. Indian Creek has a history of intensive logging and was also partially burned in the 1987 fires. Despite compromised forest health and high road density, Indian Creek is used by five Pacific salmon species. Photo contributed by Michael Hentz 2002.

Indian Creek forms a lense of cooler and clearer water as it joins the Klamath that serves as a refugia for salmonid juveniles in periods when the Klamath is too warm. Photo contributed by Michael Hentz 2002.
