| Caption: The chart above is based on data collected by the California Department of Fish and Game at the Shasta Racks from 1930 to 2002. The number of coho counted at the Shasta Racks cannot be taken as representative of the coho population size. The racks were operated mostly during the period of peak Chinook migration, which is earlier than the peak return of coho. However, the racks were kept in operation through January and even April in some years. See Chart Table to compare coho returns to various periods of operation. | |
