This photo shows the Shasta racks circa 1993 just as weir panels are being installed by the California Department of Fish and Game. The location of the trap is now just above the convergence with the Klamath River on the lower Shasta River.

Fall Chinook salmon shows as dark spots in this photo which was taken in the lower Shasta River just upstream of its convergence with the Klamath River in fall 1997. Fish sometimes congregate just below the counting weir that is just upstream.
