Topic	Fish: Outmigrant Catch by Species in Lower Mainstem, 1995

 

Caption:  The Mattole Salmon Group operated a fyke net trap in the lower Mainstem Mattole River (river-mile 2.7, about 0.1 mile below Mill Creek) in the spring and early summer of 1995. No Chinook or coho smolts were captured and steelhead trout young of the year were far more numerous steelhead trout yearlings. Numbers of fish trapped cannot be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows. See Info Links for more information.
