Caption:  The number of species of mayflies, stoneflies and caddisflies, which constitutes the EPT Index, are charted above for Mattole River tributaries reported by PALCO. Sites with fewer than 15 taxa are representative of a highly impacted aquatic ecosystem and include Oil Creek, and Rattlesnake Creek. Data taken from PALCO HCP and reported to be sampled in years 1994-1996. See Info Links for more information.
