	Caption:  This figure shows the maximum daily rainfall for water years 1966 to 1990 at the DWR rain gage # F70 9654 00 located at Whitethorn, CA. The minimum and maximum accumulation of the period of record occurred during WY 1977 (2.09 inches) and WY1966 (9.61 inches), respectively. The mean daily maximum (red dashed line) is 5.42 inches. Note that 1967 record is missing.
