PurposeRecording surface water temperatures in Mattole River and its tributaries.
Data Quality InformationHigh. TIR measured temps ground-truthed with instream data-loggers, all were within 1.0°C, with average difference of ±0.4°C. TIR measures only surface temps, however, orginators claim that thermal stratification is rare in the Mattole.
