This photo shows an early view along the Navarro River. Note the foot bridge across the channel, and the wagon road along the left bank. The logs on the right bank are likely remnants of a log drive during higher flows. Stacked ties are also visible along the railroad. Buildings may be at the edge of Hop Flat.
