This photo shows a major town on the Navarro estuary some time in the late 1800's or early 1900's. Note the wharf off the mouth of the estuary to the right which was used to load lumber schooners. It is likely that there is a mill just out of view at lower right as indicated by the raft of logs trapped by a boom there. Photo provided by Steve Cannata. Photographer unknown.
