This photo shows a juvenile steelhead being weighed after capture in a beach seine net at the upper Navarro Estuary site in the summer of 1996. Steve Cannata studied the Navarro Estuary in 1996 and 1997. The estuary is considered valuable rearing habitat for juvenile salmonids. See KRIS Bibliography for a draft of Steve Cannata's report.
