Caption:  This chart displays capture data from a single pass electrofishing survey on a 274 m reach of Rancheria Creek on October 14, 1994. Steelhead were captured, but no coho. Data provided by California Department of Fish and Game. Click on Info Links for more information. During an October 23, 1945 seine sampling on Rancheria Creek near the confluence with Ornbaun Creek, steelhead were captured, but no coho. During an August 30-September 7, 1962 visual survey of Rancheria Creek, CDFG staff observed steelhead and/or rainbow trout, but did not observe coho. The surveyor noted, "Good spawning areas appear limited due to extensive overburden in the stream bed." In an October 20, 1975 revetment electroshocking survey on Rancheria Creek, steelhead were captured, but again, no coho. See CDFG stream surveys in the KRIS bibliography for more information.
