Topic	WQ: 2002 E coli First Flush Results

 

Caption:  The results above show the range of values in E. Coli measurements taken as part of the First Flush Russian River monitoring effort in 2002. Dutch Bill Creek at Camp Meeker showed the highest values with Santa Rosa Creek at Fulton Road, Copeland Creek in Cotati and Calder Creek in Sebastapol all showing elevated values. High E. Coli readings are usually indicative of dairy waste, pollution from sub-standard septic systems or canine feces. Although volunteers collected the samples, these data come from laboratory work by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
