This map image is Figure 1 from Cook (2003a) showing the distribution of Chinook salmon redds in 2002 in the upper Russian River mainstem, where the concentration of spawners was highest. Picture #2 shows the lower half of this same map. See InfoLinks for more information.

This map image is the lower half of Figure 1 from Cook (2003a), which shows diminished Chinook salmon spawning activity in the lower mainstem Russian River as compared to upper reaches. Although the mainstem reaches of the Russian River below Redwood Hole were cut off in this image, there were no redds downstream. See InfoLinks for more information.
