This beautiful shot of vineyards against a backdrop of native California oak woodlands and grasslands was taken just off Red Winery Road. The question of how conversion of wildlands to vineyards affects flows and water quality is not yet well studied in the Russian River basin. Photo by Patrick Higgins. July 15, 2003.
