This photo shows Maacama Creek looking downstream with the arch of the Highway 128 Bridge clearly visible. The creek here is well shaded and has little fine sediment either on the terraces or on the stream bed. July 14, 2003.

Horsetails grow on the terrace of Maacama Creek in this closeup photo taken just above the Highway 128 Bridge. The substrate on the bar is comprised of small boulders, cobble and gravel. When terraces are submerged here during high winter and spring flows, gravels on the terraces might be useable for spawning by steelhead. Photo by Patrick Higgins. July 14, 2003.
