Topic Temperature: Floating Weekly Avg. at Mark West Cr.-Lwr (MW1), 1997-98

Caption:  This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperature at lower Mark West Creek (site MW1) for the years 1997-1998. Floating weekly average water temperatures exceeded 16.8C, during nearly every summer day both years. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8C. See InfoLinks for more information. Temperature data comes from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Russian River and its tributaries by the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA).
